Individual Mental Health Therapy
Life can be challenging or overwhelming or just plain hard sometimes. Having someone to talk to who can be objective about you and your struggles can help you to see things from a different perspective. In Individual therapy, you will work one on one with a licensed therapist in a safe, caring and confidential place. It is a place where you will be heard, sometimes challenged and always respected. Struggles that often involve participation in counseling are:

-
Coping with major-life issues
-
Grief & Loss (including death, dying, job loss, job change, medical issues, relationships, etc.)
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Personal Relationships
-
Personal Growth
Group Therapy
Group therapy is exactly what it sounds like, instead of meeting individually with a therapist, you gather with a group of between six (6) and eight (8) other people to share in a therapy experience on a particular topic. Some examples are grief, anxiety, depression, decision making. Group work can be particularly powerful in that often we feel like we are dealing with overwhelming situations that others do not understand.

In a group setting, individuals discover common experiences and emotions. The group members also offer support and suggestions. The group is facilitated by a licensed therapist(s) with training and experience in group therapy. The duration of the group varies, but typically meets each week for between one (1) to two (2) hours.
Faith-Based
Therapy
Upon client request, Stephanie will provide Faith-Based therapy. She will meet you where you are on your faith journey. Stephanie has worked with people of all different faith traditions. Faith-Based therapy is about providing a space where you are able to connect the beliefs of your faith with various counseling strategies that are used by the therapist. You and Stephanie decide together how much or little you would like to include faith in your individual sessions.

Stephanie is seminary trained with a specialization in practical theology (how you apply all of those complicated theological writings to your life in a way that makes sense). She has spent 20+ years as a church professional, including serving as a hospice and hospital chaplain.
Animal Companion
Support
Animal companions are pets who become members of the family. They are thoroughly loved, sometimes spoiled and probably pampered. Because animals cannot talk, knowing what the best option is when an animal companion is experiencing veterinary issues may leave you feeling lost and alone.

As a lifelong animal lover who has experienced many health issues with her animal companions, some chronic and some short-term, Stephanie has combined her love of animals with her therapy skills. She will listen and support you.
Substance Use Evaluations
& Counseling
If you find yourself or someone you care about struggling with addiction, Substance Use counseling provides a place to examine the substance use and its effect on your life. Counseling will focus on coping skills and a plan for options other than using.

Often the process of a life where you do not give in to addiction begins with a Substance Use Evaluation (sometimes called a Chemical Dependency Evaluation). This evaluation may be recommended by an attorney, judge, probation officer, or another therapist.
Resilience Coaching & Consulting
Resilience is the ability to get back up (and keep getting back up) when life knocks you down. When the clouds of chaos confuse us and bring us to our knees, it is resilience that keeps us focused on the fact that at some point, the chaos will go away and order will return.

Resilience coaching provides opportunities for you to learn about how you deal with the stresses and struggles of life. After understanding your reaction to situations, the focus becomes how to change your narrative to better achieve resilience. Guidance is given each step of the way, from identifying your current narrative to developing a more resilient one to practicing putting the new narrative into place.
